My name is Stefani and I’ve been a personal trainer for three years. First off, I want to give you a little idea of what my background is and how I got into fitness. I grew up in Clarkston, Michigan, and was always very active. I tried just about every sport, mainly doing gymnastics and basketball, but I was not truly passionate about either one to continue practicing long-term. Growing up, my parents had always encouraged me and my siblings to play a sport or do something to stay active; because I never found a sport I really liked, I started taking circuit training classes at my local gym freshman year of high school. Who knew a few years later I would be teaching that very class? Weird how things turn out. Anyways, about a year after I started doing the classes, one of my friends from the gym introduced me to weightlifting; I finally found a sport I really enjoyed! This was where my passion for fitness first started to form. I was close friends with a lot of the trainers at my gym and they encouraged me to get my personal training certification so I could join their staff. I ended up getting certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and began training clients and teaching classes.

The following fall, I moved to Florida to study finance at Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have lived in West Palm Beach for a little over three years now and continue to teach circuit classes and train clients. I also just received my certification as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) through NASM this past summer, which has been a great tool that I have been able to use when providing meal plans for my clients. Now it might seem random to have majored in finance instead of something like exercise science, right? I went this route because my long-term goal is to eventually own my own gym. My personal training and nutrition certifications are of course necessary for the fitness side of things. Piecing all of these components together allowed me to create ForzaFit, which is just the beginning of my journey. I love making plans for clients, so for now, the basis of ForzaFit is online fitness and nutrition coaching.

You also might be wondering what ForzaFit even means and how I decided on the name. Well, “forza” means “strength” in Italian. I am mostly Italian and German, which is where the language choice came from. The meaning behind the word “strength” might seem obvious because this is a fitness company, but to me, it’s had greater significance than that and was a word that I valued even years before I started my fitness journey. When people think of fitness, they mainly think of physical strength. Although that’s one of the main parts, it goes beyond that. Fitness has a way of developing more than just physical strength. Fitness develops mental strength as well including things like confidence, self-discipline, and dedication. If a person truly has strength, he or she is able to push past not only physical boundaries, but also mental blocks which is really the test of one’s character. So having said all of this, the idea behind ForzaFit is to of course help clients physically, but to also help them achieve their goals and gain confidence in their abilities while doing so.

Hopefully this has given you a better understanding of me personally as well as the story behind ForzaFit. ForzaFit is just the beginning of my career in fitness, but I can’t wait to see how the rest of it plays out and I hope you’ll stick around to find out with me!
